Crikey it's been a looong time patiently waiting for eppie 15! But well worth waiting for and Chris got top billing in the credits. :)

Colin and Matt's story ended so much better than I was expecting too! Makes you think there are possibilities for Colin turning up again in the future. I hope so. ;)

There were quite a few false alarms in it when I thought we'd seen Chris's last scene and then all of a sudden he'd turn up again..hee hee. Loved the suit! :p

Well done Chris. :)

Chris and I discussed this episode a few weeks ago on set, although I take the piss out the programme - I still think it utter gash ;) , I'll never knock the performances because I think they have been consistently good in this series, I really think that too, not just because Chris is in it. It’s just I don’t think the writers ever went to school.

But the Colin and Drama teacher bloke storyline actually very good tonight, I don’t think I muttered "as if" once during those bits... oh apart from when they went off to a secret chat while that Asian bloke showed the kids how to edit. I thought that was a little unprofessional but I suppose it was important.

Chris was right, I did actually like their storyline, it wasn't too cheesey and was a good level for its type of audience.

And something else we should look for when Chris is on set, if Chris ever storms off on a power walk, we have to listen out for the acoustic style pop music which seems to follow him around Rochdale. :)

However, that Mika and whatshisface knobhead.... I'd love to smash their faces into a fire extinguisher or something... those two characters are so fucking, smug and annoying... I want to see Neil Morrisey hunt them down and stamp on their snobby heads! I think I have hated him and his stupid twatty hair, from day one... fucking prick  :) I have to let it out, sorry.

It was good to see school kids finally act like cruel kids too, in one of the closing scenes when that lad comes out, I liked how kids reacted, as I think they would do that in real life, never seen that in Waterloo Road until tonight’s episode.

Next weeks episode looks like a good one though.

There are some lovely Squishy Colin/Matt screen grabs over in Ian's Squishy Place. (Thank you, Ian, for letting me rummage around in your Squishy Place!) Not sure exactly how long they'll be up for, btw, but do know that it probably won't be for too long. So 'enjoy' them while you can... ;) Anyway, here are a select few of them...

What I have always found odd about seeing Chris on TV, is that always look taller, and he doesn't look like Layton or Chris Finch... I've never really seen this with the other actors I have met.

Maybe it's that Chris is a good actor?

Thanks Joanna (and Ian too)....I love his squishy place hehehe! :D

Those pics are great....I think I love the first one the best :)

But I also love the little looks Matt and Colin are giving each other in the second pic :)

And the third pic reminds me of that Corrie scene with Todd and Karl in the Rovers when they were holding hands and nobody noticed  Hehehe :p

That's what I've been thinking too. If truth be told, though, I've only watched it properly when I've known Chris is in an episode so I've avoided most of it.

Chris, as usual, was spot on with his performance (it's his tone every time. Chris just seems to know what tone the character he's playing should have. It's that underplaying that brought such a fresh natural performance to the Todd storyline that made it stand out from Corrie's usual style) but I couldn't help feel it could've been written better. Matt's Mum's negativity towards his sexuality wasn't really explained. Her reasoning wasn't harsh enough. It was like they intended to make her very Christian and against homosexuality but were then told to drop it for fear of showing Christians in a bad light, so it just became a lame bit of hoity-toitiness.

Is that it from Chris this series, then?

Yep, it certainly brings back memories Laura. There were quite a few reminders of Todd and Karl (sigh). Colin isn't Karl, but when I look at that last piccie Joanna put up and reverse the angle, I can hear Karl in the hospital canteen saying "If he's phoned.." :D o_O

Now up on fmforums are two screen grab threads on last night's episode (plus a few 'considered' responses ;) ). The first one has quite a number of Colin and Matt screen grabs in it. The second one, however, has Matt in many of the grabs but none of Colin (so none from the wedding proposal scene!).

(Thanks to Fran, on whose behalf I'm posting the following link). The BBC have uploaded to youtube a

(can only link, as embedding is disabled on this clip). It's from where Matt tells Colin that he's cleared his stuff out from their flat because his mother is on the way to see him.

There's an article about Chris not long gone up over at The Bolton News site. It's called 'Actor Chris drops in to help' and is about his giving 'advice to some young actors at the Harmony Youth Project in Halliwell'.

Thanks Joanna. Good to see the BEN reporting on Chris again, and good of him to give up his time like that. :)

There's a nice little comment at the bottom too. :)

Heh, he got that stance from me!
You obviously think I'm joking about this. We had a conversation about pretentious poses that you're asked to strike and I did what he's doing in that picture.

I'm pretty sure he did it on purpose because of that conversation.
