Hi there, I’m writing on behalf of Sheffield Doc/Fest (the biggest documentary film festival in Britain) – we’re running a film competition called Digital Revolutions (http://sheffdocfest....italrevolutions) in which we’re encouraging amateur and professional filmmakers to make films about how digital technology has changed their lives for a cash prize of up to £10,000. We’re running a free film workshop next week in Edinburgh (3rd Sept), Cardiff (1st Sept) and Sheffield (2nd Sept) that will teach filmmakers new skills and help them develop their ideas for the contest. Entries are now open and will close on Friday 15 October 2010. The winners will be announced on 5 November 2010 at an event at Sheffield Doc/Fest and not only will the winners receive a cash prize but they will also be invited to attend and show their films at the festival. Details about the competition are on http://sheffdocfest....talrevolutions. There are only limited spaces at the workshops so if you're interested I'd go onto the site and get a ticket asap - they're going pretty quickly! http://digitalrevolu...ventbrite.com/. Good Luck
