As requested ;) , HERE is a really interesting interview I came across with the film-maker Adam Mason. He talks a bit about film editing, the mindset of making films, working to a low budget (and he lives slap bang in the middle of Hollywood), etc etc etc....

Fighting against the film industry is like picking a scrap with Ronald McDonald. He doesn't give a shit he makes rubbish burgers cause he's selling a billion of them a day, and after all - he's a fucking clown.

Effing good find Joanna (there's a lot of effing at the start of that article isn't there!)

I feel the guys pain, I am that soldier

Best quote of the article, the one you've highlighted.

Thanks for promoting my post to its very own thread, Mike! Haha!

He really lives and breathes his film making and it was interesting to read his thoughts on what he's up against in the industry, etc.

There's another Adam Mason interview good'un, from 2006, HERE. Think you might find yourself nodding your head several times in agreement during reading this, Mike!

I don't think you can make a good film if the shoots easy! If it’s not hard - you're not pushing yourself enough. It’s why so many Hollywood films are shit. They’re just too pampered for their own good.
