My mate Paul Walker is self-producing a play in the North West at the moment - Stephen Belber's Tape (as made into a movie by Richard Linklater which stars Uma thurman).

It's on at the Buxton Fringe 21st, 22nd and 23rd July, at Rumworth Hall in Bolton on 30th, Taurus Bar in Manchester on 1st, and Bolton Library on 2nd. He's desperate for ticket sales, so if anyone can come along, please do...

I liked Tape. I remember seeing it on television, and as it's shot on interlaced miniDV it doesn't look too great. But soon I was gripped and thought it made for a fantastic single location movie. Just goes to show you don't need all them bells and whistles to make a good film. Just pure old fashioned storytelling.
