Danny, the problem we currently have is getting cast & crew together to shoot the last remaining parts of the film. There's very little left but it's vital we have them. After that we will need to concentrate on getting a few CG effects, one tiny prosthetic effect, the ADR (recording all the dialogue and it being post-sync'd to the on-screen action) and the sound mix. It's a lot of work. And the recession hasn't helped matters. People are far less available since the credit crunch hit
The frustrating thing is that I've done the first assemble of the edit (minus the aforementioned few scenes/shots) and it's looking good. It's just unfortunate that in its current rough unfinished state it's not fit for human consumption.
When it's all done you won't need to wait for it to be released as we'll hold some kind of local preview screening so keen people like yourself can see it. I say that because distributing the film is a huge task in itself!
We already have a few festival organizers who are keen to show it, I just hope they don't get fed up with waiting.
